Strawberry jam recipe
I make traditional jams without preservative or gelfix or other fixtures and respecting the 1: 1 ratio between fruit and sugar. I did a little because I still have a few jars from last year

  • 1.5 kg of sugar
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

The strawberries are washed and the tails removed.

Put them in the pan in which we will boil the jam, cut the very large ones and put the sugar on top evenly.

Put in the fridge until the next day to leave the juice.

The next day it is boiled on low heat at the beginning until the sugar melts and on the right heat after about 30-40 minutes.

Add the lemon juice and simmer until it has the desired consistency (when the drop on the cold plate remains formed and the juice is spread if you put your finger).

Put in jars washed and sterilized in the oven and still warm.

Put the lids on and put them in the pantry.

They last 3-4 years if not consumed.
